Well here is the first of a couple of Unreal Ops Exclusives today. I stayed up late trying different hardware combinations and finally finished up the 'How Much Memory Do I Need?' article. It is probably the most asked question I get outside of 'Is Cliffy B cool?'. I hope you enjoy it and I will have more news later.

768 works for me. Good read!

BTW I recently read your ATI Tweaking article to. What is your opinion on switching the Anisotropic Filtering to performance rather than quality? I turned mine down to performance and kept my textures up.

You know that seems to be a hot subject as of late. I will have to look into that and get back with you on that one!

going from 512 to 1024 should make gameplay smoother and maps load faster.

i have 1gb of pc2700 atm

it definately makes the maps load faster.... on my laptop (512 pc2100) the maploading takes an extra 1-2 min! whenever i play a lan game w/my bro i always end up with no nodes and he has atleast 1 and starting on the second (he has less skillz than me so i give him the better pc, stupid descision i kno)
