UT-04 2 Disc DVD vs. Special Edtion?

I have the 2 disc Dvd set of UT-04.
There is VTMs' included and Maya5 PLE.
But I heard that the SE version has a different Maya5,
that isn't so much the PLE, (without watermarks)
Also I know that SE comes in a metal case and with a headset.
So what's the difference, is there a website someone can link me to.
Because the craze has been out for while now. I'm hearing eveyone talk about how they tried and almost died for the damn SE version.
However, a good friend of mine, left work and drove to Best-Buy on there grand opening where we live. It was at 10:00am, but when he got there, they told him it opened at 9:45 and they were all sold out.
He was pissed and he told me and I was mad also.
The thing is that we both thought that SE, only had the VTMs'.
So we didn't even check to see if the regular version did.
So a couple weeks went by, until I went back to Best-Buy to buy Kill-Bill vol.1. I just wanted to check out the PC games and looked and sure enough the 2 disc did!!!
Our days of using the original UT UnrealEd were over, and we both took a fresh breath of air and began our lives, with our new-found love for the VTM's.
No this is not a love story between man and machine...or is it?! LOL.

only the DVD version has the VTMs...

and the DVD version is the SE...

That's right, I remember checking the drive and it says special edition.
I dont know what all the fuss was about then?

the regular version doesnt have the VTM's or Maya.. plus it comes on 6 CD's...

and it doesnt come with the shiny metal box, or the nice headphones or the Car emblem Wink

the DVD SE DOES come with the headphones, metal case, and the car emblem... plus its only 2 CD's

2 DVD's, the car emblem and stickers and boxes and everyhtihng differ per country, so dont go saying this has that and that has this etc, couse youl be lying.
i think i got maya on my CD version. not sure tho.

Plain version: 6 CDs, editor, maya
DVD SE: 2 DVDs editor, maya, headphones, VTMs
DVD re-release: 2 DVDs, editor, maya, VTMs

I think that's it in a nutshell. Basically so many people raved about the VTMs and bitched about not getting an SE version that the publisher decided to re-release a slightly smaller package for them. You don't get the headphones, but at least the "Real Fans" who bought the SE version had something extra to gloat about.

I still have an unopened DVD:SE sitting in my computer room. Was going to post on ebay but never got around to it. Then they released the new edition and the value dropped a bit. Damn them!! Mad

Oh well, I should get around to getting it on ebay soon or my wife will be pissed. I already gave the other 2 extra DVD:SEs to friends of mine for their birthdays.

maybe a big risk, but you COULD wait a few years, then its rare, and sell it then.. or no one wants it, and you lost 50 dollers.. Rolling Eyes
