Work is killer, but I do have some news! YAY! Everyone clap for me! ...or don't. Anywho, the first announcement I've got in my inbox here is from Dagroov of MaxedOut. Here's what he had to say:

Well folks, that's not all! Keep reading now, and we'll also include a press release from Shattered Oasis regarding their map contest! WOO!

The Shattered Oasis Team is hosting a mapping contest that will end August the 10th.
Any map submitted between now and then is considered an entry.

The winning map along with select others will be placed in our next major release!
The rules are as follows:
1. All maps must be in the Detonation game type, and fully support bot play
2. Submitted maps may use whatever textures or static meshes they see fit, but they must have permission to use the ones not packaged with SO & UT2004. You may not use UT2K4 music, however it is acceptable to use Shattered Oasis music, compose your own, or obtain permission to use third party music.
*Violation of international copyright law will result in immediate disqualification.* *Original content is not required, but is certainly a bonus.
3. Submitted maps must be packaged in a .zip or .rar file. You must include an english language readme file in the .zip/.rar file containing the following; your name, your e-mail, estimated build time, a short description of the map, and any applicable legal information reguarding use of copywritten material. Maps must also include at least one screenshot, 256x256, in the .zip/.rar file.
4. You may not receive content for your map from any member of the dev team. You may ask any questions relevant to the mapping process in our fourms.

Well then, that's nice to hear. See, Nvidia and Epic Games aren't the only people that love you to create custom content.
On that note, why hasn't anyone done a new Skaarj voice pack? I'd imagine that it'd be quite popular... |
