Man this would be the biggest suprise to happen to the gaming industry in a long time. Our good friends at Voodoo Extreme are reporting that there is a big possiblity of Halo 2 coming out before Christmas! Damn a game that is going to come out on it's original date. Now would that beat all! |

I'll be happy, if:
(a) they port it to PC
(b) the port includes an unlimited "save anywhere" feature like most PC games
(c) the port has proper netcode |

Actually I think unlimited saves spoil games. I agree that being able to save at any point is the way to do it though, so I'd suggest an AvPGE way of doing things and limiting the number of saves to something like 2 or 3 per map.
But yeah, as far as I'm concerned, Halo 2 doesn't exist until they announce a PC port. |

How does unlimited saves spoil games? If you feel un-challenged, don't use saves at all. It's the perfect balance |

Not to take sides in this discussion, as i have no stance on it, I really don't care, but....
Saying "if you don't want them, don't use them", is like saying "oh yeah, cheat codes don't spoil games, it's the perfect balance, if you don't want them, don't use them"..... same logic applies, and cheats do nothing but make people wanna find other ways to cheat online imho. |

No, that's a completely different situation. That's like single player cheats being in a game and using them or not using them, but not having multiplayer cheats. Those are completely and utterly different circumstances, not even worth comparing at all. |

And since when did you save in multiplayer? When I mentioned cheats, that's what I was refering to.... kinda implied. |

You mentioned online at the end, leading me to infer that you were talking about online cheats the entire time. You should specify instead of implying when you mention something, it's not the person's duty to understand what you write.
And, it's the same thing with single player cheats, yes. If you don't like them, don't use them. Few games have been affected by having single player cheats translate over to multiplayer, if that is what you are implying. Normally a single player cheating method has absolutely no help in creating a multiplayer cheating method. I'd like to see some respectable sources of major-label games that had a cheating problem due to single player cheats. There is no correlation between the two -- you can cheat for games with or without built in single player cheats. |

cheats (sp ones) are peoples security blankets.... if they cant beat a section... they like to have the knowledge that there is something that will help them get past that area. but that's all they should be used for... IMO... |

I agree, to an extent. Sometimes I'll use cheats once I beat a game just because they make it more fun. There are also funny cheats in some games that I use once I've beaten a game (without cheats, mind you). |
