hey yall, after wathcing all the movies about UT2004 again, i realy noticed the turrets you dont controll (ie on the hellbender) move like bad ass lag.
all vehicles move smooth, but that can be couse its a LAN.
they could want to reduce the lag, but it looks crap, first its pointed forward, and 1 sec later its backwards.. looks like crap.
why is this? |

yah that could be. or it could just be that the turret op, turned it around really fast...... and you only saw the two positions it started in and ended in |

no.. couse all goes smooth, just the back turet on hellbender moves like ass...
i think its couse else the game lags to muhc.. but its no fun..
also i played multiply online games that uses cars, like NFS etc. but always the cars move crapy, couse of lag, but i never seen it in UT2004, is this couse its LAN, or couse epic makes some good netcode?
couse i wouldent like it to be shoting at a super dodging scorpion that moves from left to right and me not hitting him.. |

i dont understand a word u said but i assure you the game will NOT lag on a p4 3.8 ghz 1 gig ram and a geforce 5.
but seriously, itll work fine cheetah, dont jusge a game by its pre release vids. |

when i played the demo at the UU i noticed ABSOLUTELY NO lag. Even with a full server (32 peeps i think) I was the person firing the gun on the hellbender many times, and the vehicle was neither jerky or laggy. the same went for when i was the driver and i looked at the turret it wasnt laggy or jerky.... maby for some reason that small section of the game was edited out. I had to do that in my UU vids... so maybe they did it too. |

i mean:
that was all on LAN, not trough internet with people thousends of miles apartr.
and if you DRIVE the hellbender, the guys who shoots on th eback moves jerky, watch the latest video i submited. |

Ya'll are to damn anxious.
And as for the "lag" noticed in the video, remember please that it's not the final build, and therefore, should not be used in any way for judgement. Hell, the demo won't be the "final build", so again, no judgement should be made.

i still think that it's just because the turret op moved fast..... i dont think it had anything to do with lag or anything else.... |
