As you can see the naming the LAN contest is now finished. The name is going to be Unreal Expo 2004. This name is growing on me and I am glad because the name will let Unreal Engine Developers know that they will be welcome there as well. The next thing we need to take care of is the time frame. There seems to be a gap between those of you that want it on Spring Break and those of you who want it in the Summer. So here is your change to let us know. Please only vote if you plan on attending and which time of the year is best for you. |

Tycho, it's gotta be in June. Smackdown 5 is in March so it'll be hard for us NE members to come. Also, if you do it in June I'll drag Ono along with me

Toque,
So far it looks like that June will be a good idea. However I will leave the poll up for two weeks to see if everyone else agrees. You are going to have to drag Ono out. He owes me a beer! |

I woudln't make any decision based off what month. You really need to ask which date. You might pick june but then have a week that doesn't work for anybody. I'd probly be out if it's in june I'll be gone on a lds mission by then I think. |

Seriously if you want a big # of people to come to this, especially from all around the country, the Summer is the only intelligent choice. It's REALLY rare that a large number of spring break's cooincide. Spring breaks just between states and universities and highschools can be entire months apart.
Do it in the summer and you'll have alot of people, alot of fun, and enough money to cover all the expenses.
Do it during a random time in spring where people have classes and what not, and you'll be LANing with a ghost town. =P |

I really think cursive is right. If it was done in march it's so rare that the spring breaks will be togther not many would be able to come from afar. The best choice would have to be the first or second week in june right after all the kids get out of school, but before they get sent off to camp. I'm just saying don't say this month or this month pick a date in jun and have them vote on that.
If it was in june I don't know if I'd be able to come or not, depends on when I end up leaving on my mission. I don't know how that leaving date works I'll have to ask brizz. If I did make it it would be pretty dang close. It would almost be like a going away party. |

Ghash,
It is looking to be held in Columbus, Ohio and Bman is going to work with the hotel to provide discounts for those gamers that will be staying there.
