This one slipped under my radar so I apologize. The demi-god of Unreal himself, Tim Sweeney, was recently interviewed by 4 Unrealers. They are not an English website so while the interview is in English you will have to bare with them on the grammar.
MooN: According to this, what is the ideal release date for UT2004?
Tim: Christmas 2003.
Looks like they are still on track for the expected release date. |

My personal favorite line:

Tim: Is change something to be feared? |
Indeed he's right, change shouldn't be feared, if you like how something is in UT or UT2k3, play those, if you like the new direction they take things in, play the new one.... Change is a good thing, otherwise we'd still all be playing things like Wolfenstein Classic or Doom 1
Overall, very enlightening interview |

to true.
that was the biggest problem w/the game.
but i think they did it for a reason. the testers probably pointed out most if not all of the problems and the problems were quickly fixed. but the interface tweaks, and the other little things they wanted to get from the fanbase. |

well Im not sure that their testeres discovered most of the bugs.. I think that it was community mostly.. and also, I think that they relased a game with some bugs because they were already 2 late with the game .. (with bosses on their necks:> |
