There's a new preview of Deus Ex: The Invisble War over at IGN. Here's a snippet:
You'll need that noggin quite a bit from what I've seen so far. There are several solutions to the problems you encounter during the game. For one thing, you'll find several paths in and out of areas that you'll need to access. Let's take one instance where I needed to get into a particular room. There are at least four ways I could do this. First, I could find a keycode that would allow access immediately without any fuss. Second, I could use a multitool to hack the door into opening. Third, I could find a vent hidden somewhere in the area and crawl through it. And finally, I could install a weapon modification that destabilizes glass and crawl through the window. These are the only ways that I found and there could easily be more. Maybe even some that the developers didn't think about themselves. Ion Storm was very proud that they managed to create a system that allowed players to find solutions to problems that they, the creators, didn't know existed. These guys really go into depth with the game, as well as having some good screenshots that I can say I haven't seen anywhere. Last I heard, the game is still slated to be out in December, so let's hope for a demo sometime soon... cuz personally, I don't know if we're gonna be seeing one for UT04 before the year ends... |
