Well well... turns out that I have some free time here, so I thought I should bring this to your all's attention:
Quote: |
No, we didn't forget to include Lavagiant2. Lavagiant2 had a myriad of bsp problems/errors that killed players when they happened upon them. Some of which were right in the player footpaths. It was deliberate. |
Well well... I haven't even checked out CTF yet (been too busy with ONS and SinglePlayer), so I can't attest to the lack of LG2. However, I do know that when I played it on UT03, I never had any issues with it. I felt it was a little too simple, and that CTF-Magma was a better sequel to the UT's CTF-LavaGiant, but, that's just one Dragon's opinion. If the quality of the other maps in the game are any indication, I'm sure that Epic's decision to not include LavaGiant2 will not be that big of a deal.
Plus, there's always the bonus packs |

Yeah, if it's just BSP errors, then im sure Epic can fix it up for a bonus pack no problem.
I mean tons of people were shocked that it wasn't included, so I'm sure they'll try to get it in later, but if you recall the old online numbers for that map, hardly anyone played it. (this community confuses me sometimes)
I liked the map, but it was too large for a normal amount of players.
(and honestly i donn't understand peoples arguments that it sucked compared to the original LG... the layout is almost identical aside from the added center area.)
I think the map could have looked better, like the red fog only affecting the structures (not very realistic), and the lame flame affects from the lava pools below.
The skybox was amazing tho! |

Anyone know a really easy low-grav 1v1 DM map? I just played Malcolm in Hyperblast 2 and hated every second of it, so I'd like to replace it with another, much easier map. (preferably one he isn't invisible in until he starts shooting at you) |
