Want to take part in a 1930's and 1940's cult SciFi First Person Shooter mod? Well then Blaze Bolden wants you! Take a look at their about section on their site, and if interested let them know in their forums! Interestingly enough these guys don't have a platform engine yet, But they are leaning toward the UT2004 engine. Heres some info about what makes their mod different from the rest of the mods :
Quote:
Firstly, nobody will die! As dramatic as that sounds, think about what happens in a game when you die. You just reload the game from the last save-point. In some ways it in fact becomes a little easier because you know what to expect. There is of course the disappointment of dying and possibly having to retrace a lot of steps. We plan something different. Instead of dying you become unconscious and are captured. You are then taken to a holding cell and have a certain period of time to escape. This escape leads you through certain parts of the level that you would not normally have access to.
*You won’t be able to kill the enemy either! They too become unconscious but to replace the thrill of an exploding body or other gruesome ending we have a few surprises up our sleeve.
*Another difference is our release schedule. After the initial release will plan to create mini adventures, each lasting one hour or consisting of 5 - 10 maps. Each adventure will introduce a few new weapons and enemies.
*Our hope is to release each adventure in 2 or 3 separate episodes. These episodes will be made available every few months.
*Each adventure will be independent of the others and will be available in an upgrade or stand alone version.
Interesting.... They already have some concept images for the mod, but no models yet. They are in desperate need of Coders, AI coders, and Concept artists. You interested? Let Them know!
