Mark Chandler, the Mod Relations Rep from Epic (developers of the Unreal franchise of shooters), will be showing off builds of various Unreal mods from the community during this week's Game Developer's Conference in San Jose, California. Among the games featured will be a pre-2.0 release version of Red Orchestra - a World War II realism-based shooter set in the Eastern frontlines of battle.
This version - the first of its kind to be shown in public - will show off newly implemented features of deployable machine guns, improved menu functionality, and a "free aim" system. To celebrate the occasion (and to show thanks to Epic and Atari for their fantastic support of the mod community), the RO team has released these newly captured images. Congratulations to all mods selected for showcasing at this year's GDC event!
Version 2.0 of Red Orchestra will be available in April for download, and will be supported for use with the Unreal 2004 engine. For more information, please visit the Red Orchestra website. |
