For those of you unfamiliar with the Hollow Moon Total Conversion for UT2004, it's a first person experience that places you in the body of one Talos Davon. Oh heck, I'm no good at coming up with these stories, so here's the the story line from the website:
Quote: |
You are Talos Davon, and you arrive to the moon research colony that was based in the near future that exists for meny years, in order to work as heavy machinery specialist. But no one come in contact with you and no one come to meet you. You enter an enormus, abandoned station which scale is unknown since its located mostly underground and has many restrict areas that you were forbiden even to ask about. But now when everyone is gonne, who can stop you from trying to find out where is the crew and where the humanoid creatures that navigate trought this station like ghosts, came from. You cannot return since your shuttle won't reach earth by itself and the interplanetar space craft left to mars and next one wont arrive in next few mounth. |
Sounds kinda interesting yes? Well, now you too can play it in their first "Alfa" (a play on the Alpha idea). So what's in the Alfa? Glad you asked, here's the lowdown:

What does "alfa" mean? It means that this is an experimental version of the planned demo - in other words there's no enemies, no hud, no gui and meny meny other elements of the oryginal idea that require more sirious coding. The reason is same - no coders. Then what does it have? - Well it has very moody expirience that did come out the way i planned it. with basic weapon, player model, 2 maps and one intro. I hope you enjoy it and dont forget to use the "use -'U' key to open doors and other stuff. I would sujest to use clean UT2004 game since i can't predict the outcomes when enother mods are installed, or if the game itself is somehow moddified. |
So in other words, it's not really a playable MOD yet, but you can get out, stretch your virtual moon boots, and enjoy yourself while playing around in an otherwise open environment. So, either head on over to the Official Site or just head straight to the Download, either way you'll be pleased with the results. |
