OMFG w00t!!! im so happy, all you GTA and maybe even non GTA lovers here will like this to alot:
today i got a mail from Rockstar saying they got San Andreas screenshots and a splash website... 
so if your no subscribed to the mailing list, read this! and if you are subscribed, read this anyways!
there are like only 3 screenshots, but its realy cool, so gangster downtown style.
i think the engine doesnt look extremely better then VC, but it looks like they tuned the lightning and made better cars, so very cool.
in October the game will be released for the PS2.. they havent confirmed a PC or XBox version, but im sure it will come to, man, if i had the money i would buy a PS2 just for this game!

EDIT:
Rockstar have released a basic summary of the plot of GTA San Andreas, confirming that it'll be set in the early 1990's.
"Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.
Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster.
On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets."
The summary appears to indicate that the game will not be set in "San Andreas", instead Los Santos. It could possibly also be said that it'll take place in more than one city, from the last sentence of this short announcement by Rockstar.

It's a complete pity that they're only doing PS2 again as the initial launch. The game is much better imho on the Xbox or PC. (that, and I don't have a PS2, nor would I buy one for one game  ) |

i liked GTA III for PC, but i could never get past this one level... and it totally suxored |

so did i, and like 99% of the rest of the players i think.
its not that hard realy, who got Vice City?
GTA is so cool to play online, do some street races etc, gang wars, to bad its still a bit laggy 
i do hate it that they say PS2 first, and then 6 monts later come with a PC version, then the xbox after that like in VC maybe. i dont care, i dont got any console 
on PC its the best i think. |

ummm... it was like the 3rd to final mission on the part of the city....
i dont remember what it is exactly... been too long since ive played it |

why where the colours changed in the post? was it to hard to read?
i tryed to do it a bit like SA color style.. |
