In light of some of the criticism brought to bear on some of the design in CBP, for this next project, I have decided to go for a completely open development plan. From ugly alpha BSP shell, all the way to finished product, I invite anyone who wants to give input to help me make this level.
I should be posting a BSP shell really soon, and I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone has on layout/weapon placement/etc. Once thats all done, we can move onto actually making the level look pretty. One thing at a time though.
EDIT: Put the alpha BSP shell up now.

Just two things that I would add:
1. A cone at the bottom of the drill to make it look more dirll like
2. A cone smootheding the transition between the fat and thin parts of the drill |

The majority of the BSP is purely placeholder, designed to give an indication of layout and basic shapes. As soon as the layout is final, and I bring in Staticmeshes, it should look a lot prettier. =)
Right now I need to nail down weapon placement and layout at this early stage. The exciting stuff comes further on down the line. |
