Gamespy posted part one of their Tribes Vengeance preview. This section covers the single player experience that was lacking in the first two games.

Quote:
Of course, human-like bots are always more fun as an opponent, so the areas stuffed with turrets are in the minority. One level featured an arena of sorts, complete with crowds and scoreboards. In this level, the game teaches you how to play Capture the Flag, Capture and Hold, and Fuel. The Fuel gametype is interesting. Instead of a flag or a ball, there are fuel deposits spread all over the map. You can hold up to fifteen fuel cells at a time, and once you have them, you run them back to your base. The first player to 100 wins. As an added dynamic, the enemies can siphon fuel from your base and you can do the same. And of course, you're free to kill anyone in your way, causing them to drop and scatter any fuel they may have been carrying. It's as exciting and intense as it sounds.

So head on over and check out the single player preview here. It sounds like we will be receiving a well rounded game. I just hope Irrational Games isn't focusing too much on the single player aspect of Tribes Vengeance while sacrificing the multiplayer that established the series. We will find out more when Gamespy continues their three days of Tribes Vengeance coverage.
