Gamespy continues their Tribes: Vengeance coverage this time focusing on the multiplayer.

Speaking of taking off, the vehicles in Tribes: Vengeance (there are two land-based and two aerial) are a complete change. While it was a very popular technique to fly a Shrike at 120 mph into a base, destroying everything it hits, you can't do the same with the cleverly named Fighter. (The vehicles are the Fighter and Assault Ship in the air, and the Rover and Tank on the ground.) Flying over and/or into things will cause some damage, but these vehicles are no longer the death from above they once were, at least as far as vehicular manslaughter goes. The new vehicles do control somewhat easier, and their strengths (like hovering extremely high and raining down missiles) are useful, although they do require a slight change in play style. It's also important to note that the vehicles are no longer the virtually indestructible tanks of previous games. They're strong, but there's no more "I just shot that thing with ten rockets!" going on. And yes, the stalwart forward base ground vehicle is gone.
