In a bit of very interesting hardware news today, HardOCP has posted their Doom 3 Hardware Guide. The quide is definitely a good read if you are looking to upgrade your system for the Next Gen games such as Doom 3 or Half-Life 2. One thing I can say about good ole' UT2004 is that it can task the current set of High End hardware pretty good as well. |

I just finished reading that article and I think it is soemthing most everyone will want to look at if they are at all wondering if their system is up to snuff.
The one thing stressed above all others is that they found a surprisingly good gaming experience on the low-end hardware.
They supplied some screenshots, but iI could nto find the differences they mention some of the time. I guess I dont' have an eye for it, but it seems there is no real difference between the top 2 settings.
Most of the important settings are available in Medium settings. Plus you can turn anything on or off in the advanced settings.
