so i told a friend i would build him a computer (done it a bunch of time for myself).....we order all the parts online and they come and i put them all together and i go to turn it on and the system powers up......fans spin hardrive spins......but no video.....and no beep that always occurs when you turn the computer on......
anyone know where to start to try to fix the issue here?.......
he got an asus motherboard
athlon 2800
512 ddr 3400 ram
raedon 9600se
i cant seem to think what the problem could be other then faulty mobo or processor.....(which would be a severe pain in the ass considering it took over a month for the website to finally deliver the existing stuff)
but anyway if anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated
thanks |

BTW I am by no means an expert at building computers but have you tried swapping out the video card to narrow down the problem? That way you will know which component is faulty. Other than that I am not sure maybe someone else who visits these forums will have some tips for you. |

could ba a bad mobo, the bios might be crapped. The behaviour you described is quite similar to when you misflash a BIOS. Which asus mobo are you working with? |
