RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for distributing and aggregating Web content (such as news headlines). |
Please tell us a little more. How would it work and what advantages we and our readers would receive.
Thanx |

There you go. That is the simplest way, but I am sure you guys can rig up a system to use PHP or something.
The main advantages are that people can get an idea of when the site is updated. This works best (for fansites at least) for announcements of new releases and for the latest reviews and files and what not.
It is not really that hard to do, and you can probably get away with manually doing things. |

Basically what Gundato said. I don't get to the site as much as I used to and it would be cool just to view the latest headlines and just click on the article I am interested in. I have MyYahoo setup to display headlines from slashdot. Also, the new Firefox has RSS integrated into its bookmarks. (see pic below)

looks cool!
the firefox browser function that alerts you when a site is changed/updated doesnt work. so a feed would be cool.
but dunno if i would use it, looks annoying to.. |

As hard as it may be to believe, not everyone lives and breathes this site. I think it would cut down on your bandwidth if people didn't have to open the full page just to check for updates. Any way it was just a suggestion. |
