TeamXbox has secured a deal with Mike Capp, President of Epic Studios and Lead Designer, to provide a series of journals leading up to the eventual release of Unreal Championship: The Liandri Conflict. The first developer diary was released earlier this week. This diary gives an overview of the series succession and information on the early development stages. It also contains some screenies and concept art for the UC2 Rocket Launcher and Flack Cannon. One interesting progression of the series will be a Live enabled demo of UC2 released before retail.

Right now we're working towards locking down our demo. Shipping a Live-enabled demo before the game hits stores is insane. It's scary as hell, because it means we have to go through all the steps of getting the game code 100% ready to ship a few months earlier than we normally would (in development time, "a few months" seems like eternity). If all goes well, it'll put us in great position for shipping the game--but make no mistake...it's going to be painful. |
Great we get to test out the goods before purchase. Good thinking Epic! The full diary is located at TeamXbox.
I should have some more news for you later today. Fridays, traditionally, end the work week with lots of game news. Make sure to check back. |
