PlayMoreConsoles conducted a little question and answer session with James Schmalz founder and Creative Director of Digital Extremes. As you would expect most of the questions are about DE's newest project Pariah. Highlights include; Pariah will available for the PC, Xbox, and PS2. Map editing will be available on the Xbox. Pariah will have 10-15 hours of single player with unlimited multiplayer goodness. And 4 vehicles ranging from hover vehicle to transports. Mr. Schmalz also compares Pariah to our beloved Unreal Tournament.

Quote:
PMC: How will Pariah`s gameplay differ from that of the Unreal Tournament series? Will it slow everything down or continue with the same constant, quick action?

JS: In the single-player it will be quite different from Unreal Tournament. Our goal with the gameplay is to make the player think strategically before they act so there will be times when running-and-gunning will not be the best approach to a situation.

They also go over DE's relationship with publisher Hip. The most interesting news of this session dealt with DE's future project Dark Sector.

Quote:
PMC: Finally, we have to ask: Digital Extremes recently released some video footage of Dark Sector, what is the status of that or any other titles that may be in process from Digital Extremes?

JS: Dark Sector is doing great. The team working on it has just finished a really big milestone. Remember the teaser that we sent out a while back? That`s now a 7-minute movie and we have our first playable proto-type complete that we`ve been shopping around to publishers. We`ve gotten great feedback from them and are really excited about it.

I hope DE ends up releasing that 7 minute movie. If so you can expect to hear about it here at UO. You can view the full question and answer session by visiting PlayMoreConsoles.

PMC
also released 2 exclusive screenshots of Pariah that are worth a look.
