The 2004 game season is almost over. We have had a lot of quality games released this year. Now, it is up to you to decide which game will take home the 2004 Unreal Ops Reader's Game of the Year Award. Will the multiplayer giant Unreal Tournament 2004 take home the gold or will the long awaited Half-Life 2 win? How about Bungie's console king Halo 2 or is a Doomed trip to Mars more to your liking? What about a nice action packed Far Cry island vacation? It is all up to you.
While there were many more game released in 04 we, the UO staff, decided on these 5 nominees. If you feel extremely strong about adding another game please let us know. We will let this poll run until after Christmas and then declare the winner. If anyone would like to contribute graphics for the award please contact me. Of course you will get the much deserved credit for your contribution.
We are working on the honor system. Please one vote per person. May the best game win! |

Hey what do you know someone voted for Doom 3.
I think it is down to UT2004 and HL2. With UT2004 well ahead. |

Has anyone played HL2?
It's the first time in years Ive been excited about a game.........(ok months.....seeing that UT2004 was released last spring)
The movies I've seen make me think that game looks like a BLAST!
I repeat.......the graphics are amazing but it also just looks like a load of fun to play! I can't say I've said that in a LONG time...especially for a singleplayer FPS.
Seeing other civilians try and take out those big walking "war of the worlds esgue" walking creatues looked so much fun!
And the guns just sounded like they were good fun to shoot....including at the walls as chunks came off of them.
That gravity gun sounds really interesting too.
Im keeping myself away from any new info until I have time to play it. |

Suddenly Halo 2 is in the lead?
Kharn IMO HL2 is well worth the price tag. If you have some loot I would grab it asap. |
