Last night in Columbus Ohio a hooded gunman ended the life of arguably the best Metal guitarist ever. "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott former guitarist for Pantera and until last night current guitarist for Damageplan was murdered on stage.

Witnesses said the man, who was wearing a Columbus Blue Jackets hockey jersey over a hooded sweat shirt, jumped an 8-foot wooden fence and was being followed through the crowd by club security.
After firing at the guitarist, the gunman shot a bouncer who had pulled him off the musician, while fans surged toward the exit, said Couch, 22. The gunman then fired into the crowd of more than 250 people, Mull said. |
This world seems to be getting crazier and crazier. I have always felt reasonably safe in a crowd. But with today's tragic news concerts may never be the same again. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of all the victims. 5 in total lost their lives (4 victims and the shooter). I am glad I had the chance to check out Darrell Abbott live he was incredible.
