Okay now this article is definitely one I want people opening their minds first before they read it. I was purusing the Atari Forums this weekend after not visiting for a while. I came across this interesting article on how one gentlemen said he had found away to increase his FPS in UT2004 alot. Now I have a ton of memory in my rig and cannot accurately test it so I need a favor. Follow this link and the instructions therein. Report back to the forums with your finding and I will put them on the site. Any help to clear this up (see if it truly works) would be appreciated. |

Difference should be negligible, unless you have very little memory. If there is a huge difference, sounds like there's something wrong with your PC. |

Yo... back on my old rig with just 512 RD-800 , a 1.8 p4, and FX5600 vid car, I got about 10 FPS in some games. It's okay for older PCs, but newer ones... well, they shouldn't be having any trouble with UT04 in the first place. |

i guess the people who saw a big increment of FPS had something bad on their PC that made explorer.exe do alot of work, thus making the whole computer slower.
i always hate closing and reopening explorer.exe, couse some of the toolbar icons next to the clock dont come back until a reboot. |

Hello people of unrealops
I have a really old computer with a shitty graphics card. Whenever I used to play the map ONS-Adara. my FPS used to be 13 AVG
After closing explorer.exe . My FPS boosted to 23 AVG on the same map |
