This post is a little off-topic so feel free to skip it if you like. MSNBC has a really, really interesting article on the future of the US Armed Forces. They take a look at what is going both write and wrong with having an all volunteer army. Remember that most countries have mandatory service policy. I was shocked at the possibility of them raising the joining age limit from 34 to 40. Looks like I made get drafted after all. Damn a Tycho with a real gun. Now THAT is a scary thought.  |
