I received an email from Doug at Valve Software early this morning. However the contents won't be that suprising to most of you.
The previously announced September 30th release date for Half-Life 2 isbeing pushed back. We are currently targeting a holiday release, but do nothave a specific "in-store" date to share at this time. We will release thatinformation as soon as we have confirmed a new date.I personally don't mind as long as it hits before Christmas. More time to save! |

Hello
Have you checked the mail headers to make sure that the email actually originated from the Valve offices? |

I think it was really bad to tell everyone that they where going to make the date and when the internet game"stores" was begining to show new dates, they still told everyone that the release date wasn´t changed and that we shouldn´t trust anyone but them. Now one week before release they tell everyone that it is going to be delayed. I know there is people who recently bought new computers to play this game. I guess there are alot of angry people out there.

Garg,
Yes it is from Valve. Thanks for asking to verify though.
