Well this early morning is turning out to be a cold one here in good ole Michigan. The current temp is 42 F and the lake is giving off an erie fog. So I forgot to let you all know that I did get the management position at work. I am pretty excited as it is more pay and more challenging. As you may have noticed I am only really posting news on Mondays and Fridays. The new help is working out well and that leaves me time to concentrate on work and the upcoming Showcase Unreal LAN.
Speaking of Unreal Expo, I have some updates for everyone. Things are going well as we are in talks with a major hardware company about pitching in. We will also be having a logo contest next month. If you haven't notice I have used two different names that we have been kicking around lately. Showcase Unreal and Unreal Expo 2004 are the current leaders. Some of the other companies that we have onboard already are Factory Unreal who is going to give away UT2004 clan servers! Complete Web Hosting is going to be handling the Gamer Server and hardware side of things. I am also going to talk to our own web host, Sprynex, about putting up some web hosting for clans. And yes we are working on cash prizes as well. We are looking to put out the official press release sometime next month.
Oh and by the way the young lady in the picture is Cathode from UT2004. I finished a fresh install of Windows XP Home and found that pic while backing up my files. Enough rambling let's get on to today's news... |
