I just got a e-mail from George Varga, of the Exion Team, letting us know about the release of their mod, heres some info about their mod: The EXION is a Team Death Match, in wich there are enemy objects and game elements along with friendly ones. One of the targets of the game is to destroy the enemy elements and objects and at the same time defend the ones of our own team. If you destroy an enemy soldier you and your team get 1 point, but if you destroy an enemy object or element, you can get even 5-10-25 points. The game can be played in the network (internet, LAN). The map of the game type EXION uses the "Karma" physics engine, and in doing so uses up a lot of cpu power. Recommended hardware: 1.8 GHz processor, GeForce3 or Radeon 7500, or a faster Video card.
Basically what it is is a "Destroy the other team's base before they destroy yours" mod, which sounds cool.  The new Exion MOD for UT2003 ready for download at www.niara.hu/exion.html-Update-I have noticed that the server is not downloading for some reason, maby bad links or something, I will let George know this. Anyways when someone gets the mod downloaded contact us through the forums, and let us know how the mod is! Maby by then we will have permission to have a local mirror. |
