Atari’s Public Relations guru PR_Flak just this moment stopped by the Atari forums to post the European press-release concerning pricing and rebates for UT2004:
ATARI AND EPIC GAMES ANNOUNCE EUROPEAN REBATE PROGRAM, PRICING FOR UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004
Owners of Unreal Tournament 2003 To Receive £7.50 Rebate on Purchase of New Game; Special Edition Package Includes Headset, Bonus DVD and Metal Box.
LONDON – Oct 16, 2003 – Atari and Epic Games have announced pricing and packaging details as well as a rebate program for Unreal® Tournament 2004, the highly anticipated follow-up to last year’s smash hit Unreal® Tournament 2003, which has since become the standard for competitive multiplayer gaming since it shipped in November 2002.
Unreal® Tournament 2004 will ship for Christmas 2003 on PC CD-ROM. The game will include new maps, modes, characters, weapons, technology and a redesigned interface while also including all of the content – including the free downloadable mission packs from Epic and Digital Extremes – from Unreal® Tournament 2003. Unreal® Tournament 2004 will mark the return of the fan-favourite Assault mode, the introduction of vehicles and the all new “Onslaught” mode, a team-based challenge across massive battlefields where players face off in a war to destroy and capture the opposing team’s power nodes.
A Special Edition package will also be available for Christmas. Unreal® Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition will ship as a double-DVD set – disc one will include all of the game content while disc 2 will include more than 150 hours of Video Training Module (VTMs) from 3D Buzz that will teach fans and amateur mod makers how to use the Unreal Editor to create custom game content. Unreal® Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition will come in a limited edition metal box and will contain a Logitech Internet Chat Headset for use with the game’s exclusive voice over IP (voice chat) technology, as well as an Unreal window sticker.
REBATE
Owners of Unreal® Tournament 2003 will be entitled to a £7.50 rebate on the purchase of Unreal® Tournament 2004. The rebate will apply to both the standard game and the DVD Special Edition. Owners of Unreal® Tournament 2003 will be required to submit a proof of purchase for Unreal® Tournament 2003 along with a voucher and receipt from Unreal® Tournament 2004 in order to receive the rebate.
“Unreal has always been all about and entirely for the community, and the Unreal® Tournament 2004 packaging options and rebate program is the purest reflection of that attitude,” said Mark Rein, Vice President of Epic Games. “The rebate will allow current fans of Unreal® Tournament 2003 to get this incredible new game for an amazingly low price. We’re thrilled that Atari has gone to such great lengths to reward our existing customers. Unreal® Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition packs some awesome goodies. With voice chat support, a headset is essential equipment for true fans and the bonus DVD will help mod makers create better and deeper custom creations. With our ‘$1,000,000 NVIDIA Make Something Unreal’ contest underway, you never know where those lessons and your skills can take you!”

The DVD edition sounds especially cool, and fortunately it looks like the rebate offer also applies to this edition. What do you think? Sound off in our forums using the link below.

il bring my case and serial key and CD's.
if not enoug, my fist will be the proof of purchase...
edit:
hmm, howmuch money costs the SE?
couse that headset kicks ass, i got it. its about 50 euros! thats 50 dollers.
so if its only a little bit expensifer. i would recommen it. a verry slick design. removable covers (every frag another colour ) and... wel it just kicks ass!
and i would like a window sticker. a DVD instead of 6 CD's.
and a second DVD with more than 150 hours of Video Training Module!
and a nice metal box
lets say it 10 euros/doller more. that wil be about 60€/$
then take 10 off for UT2K3.
you got 50€/$
me knows a store that sells like 5 euros cheaper.
if not. il go to Free Record Shop and show them my Special VIP Member card. and i get 10% discount!
so then il be at around 45€ for SE and 35 for normal...
now the question is.
do i want to save 10 euros? or do i want all the cool stuff in the SE box. with a 50euro/doller headset? (that i already got...)
well if you got no headset, and your interested in making mods. you should take the SE. if you dont got money or you got no DVD Rom in your pc, you need the Normal...
i think il take the SE...
