to see if there is a ion cannon, you can open the console (~) and type "fly" and literally fly up to the top of the map and search for a satellite.

oh ok thanks...no point though, not playing it anymore 
it shouldve worked when i tried it therefore because it did not work, therer is no ion cannon  |

ok to end this... I checked in UEd and didn't find any Ion satellite. I also checked the Wildcard pickup base I thought the Ion Cannon pickup was but there was only superhealth and supershield |
