ok, and it wil play fine when not on LAN?
couse you all played on a LAN, and other games with cars always move jerky

just wanted to discuss something untill the demo arives..

Well to be honest they may have how often the turrets direction is updated to a minimum since it really doesnt effect gameplay and is mostly aesthetic in nature. In other words, they are probably giving player and projectile location priority when it comes to transmitting data between computer so that there is minimum lag in those areas (which are far more important than seeing what direction a turret is pointing.)

I also think Raven is right one about the guy probably rotated quickly.

yeah.. BUT: if yopu see a turret facing away from you, and he suddenly kill ya.. its pretty weird.. sint it?

but if you shot at him and he "felt" it then he'd turn really fast to kill you before you killed him Wink

hehe, another one of concerning that. (weird sentence)
if you shoot at him, he might be turned around already, and you dont hit him, but the turret..

now that could just be that the vehicle couldent move as fast as he did.... or it's lag Wink

but i dont think that can happen... but you never know....

have you looked at the video i told ya?
its realy clear that it move jerky, but maybe it is ment to do it..
but it sure sucks

Well, watch the video again. I noticed both smooth and jerky motion which leads me to believe he rotated the turret very quickly to cause it to jerk.

its okey in the game, iv played some, and its good.
it was just lag i think..


ps. UT2004 lags to much, UOps server as example.
who played on my server? how was it?

the 40% better netcode is kinda silly because they have just prioritised what they are showing. like for about 30 sec. after a game started all the nodes on the mini-map were taken by the red (but still the round was just starting and I could see 'Red node under construction' and see my friends building a blue one) and they were all locked. also avril took a very long time to get a lock on and the sec. didn't work unless it was stationary for a long time.

yeah, ut might be better netcode, but since all the vehicles and all, it hasnt got much faster.
like as they tweaked the engine, but they made better qulity textures, so no change in FPS.. same with netcode here..
