Yep, it's true Unreal Championship II: The Liandri Conflict. is in development at Epic games! 1UP.com and PlanetUnreal are the first that I know of to have some info on this new project for the XBOX being published by Microsoft® Game Studios.

This announcement caught me off guard to say the least I'll try to get some more info soon; in the mean time thumb through the screens PlanetUnreal and 1UP recieved to see what to expect!
-Update- The Official Unreal Championship 2 site is up, also their are three videos of UC2 in action Red, Green, and Gold each around 10MB! |

In fact several sites and magazines were at this event, including BU. PlanetUnreal and 1UP posted the information early against the request of Microsoft. |

lol raven! dont spam you... good mod.. 
i thought UnrealChampionship was UT2k3 on x-box.
but now i look at screenshots of UCII it doesnt look like ut2004 at all...
someone help me out here? |

UC I was UT2k3 yes... but UC II i am assuming that they are making a completely original title.... probalby drawing on some features from 2k4... |

Yikes, is it just me or is that one heavily modified engine? The chars in particular look completely different to U2 or UT200x. I hope someone (*cough* EvilEngine *splutter*) can find a way to cross the barrier and port those sexy models into UT2004... |

Third person.
Hand To Hand Combat.
Focus on Acrobatic moves.
Glowing Lightsabres.
Magic.
Small levels, NO vehicles.
A bit more "personality" in the characters... that "Fighter" kind of detail.
Cool.
Good on 'em for not just doing a UT2004 port. |

Well there's a pic of some woman waving her fingers in a Mystical manner. I think it's the "Energy Drain" Special Power. Maybe not so much magic after all. |
