Xan Single Player Hack?

In the original UT there was a Xan hack to get the Xan skin without beating the game. Ive been looking through the UT2k4 system files, this is a call out to the community to see if we can get a file hack that lets you unlock xan. Its probably some little line fix, I noticed that some of the xplayers.ini are spaced including Xan so maybe if you remove the double spaces it will unlock. You never know

i just got home and was just replying to stuff i found interesting. if i got home and replyed to every thread whole day i was spamming. im not doing that.
and no you cant have everything you want, but you are a mod here, so you cna get prety much.
i make replys where i put in stuff like "delete if not necesary" so you understand i dont do this for the # posts.
but i guess that was a hopeless try of me..

Barbos, it is a forum, and thus made for posting (except for a certain Max Payne site's nazi forums)... Cheetah isn't trying to irritate anyone and is just continuing the conversation (and not by just saying "yeah" as the true spammers do), so what's wrong about it?

The answer isn't in xplayers.int, that's just the database for character information. The only way I can find to unlock Xan, Malcolm and Clanlord is to open xplayersL1.upl and xplayersL2.upl (make backups first, this might break online compatibility when the cheat protectors start screwing everything up), find the characters' sections (Malcolm's in xplayersL1, the others are in L2), and look for the Menu bit in each one. Delete the Menu=".." entry for the character; for example, for Xan, find Menu="XAN" and change it to Menu="". The characters will then be unlocked.

Unlike codes to unlock characters in previous games though, this is a very rough hack, and is just to hold people over until someone in the community can find the proper way of doing it.

You might say the proper way of doing it is to complete single player, but I've done it on Experienced without ever cheating once (or making a single console entry actually), and the chars all remained stubbornly locked. Methinks it's a bug, unless you're expected to beat the game on Godlike... *shivers*

also in UT2k3. it was very obvious where it was like

activateXanSkin=True

don't remember where in the user.ini it is though

ok to unlock all the players put this in

[GUI2K4.UT2k4MainPage]
TotalUnlockedCharacters=Malcolm;ClanLord;Xan

put the characters just as they appear here into ur user.ini

you should have the main age text and total unlocked chars in the file if u started/beat sp, so just put in the character names.
