Some of you have been asking about this lately. Some of you will say, 'Beat the game!'. Well if you are as busy as I am I only have an hour every other day if I am lucky to play. When I do play it is usually online. So Unreal Zone has put together a nice file for using the characters. Head on over and check it out! |

lol, I agree (for once). I rarely ever download any "utility" (especially the little ones) from the internet. There's just too much going on out there, and I prefer to keep my box the safest I can.
Sure there's plenty of legit stuff out there, but unless I have a need I can't hardly live without, I don't download it.
This isn't to say you shouldn't download this file, but rather you should always be careful in what you download. |

There is no line that can be edited in the .ini files, those files are in the system folder you just overwrite them with the ones in the zip. |

Doesn't overwriting system files cause problems with some of the anti-hack stuff out there? |

In UT2004 we havent find a right way to do the ini lines, xplayers1.upl and xplayers2.upl are new files with UT2004 that controll what charaectars are unlocked. These cause nothing to go wrong they have been tested. |

but its more work than just ad the 3 names to the ini file.. i did it in less then 5 secs.
open the ini file, copy the 3 names in, and done.. much easyer, and no risk. |

Biohazzard, .upl's aren't new files with UT2004: UT2003 had them too. I edited the .upls that came with UT2003 and around 6 months later a cheat protector came out that wouldn't let me into online games. That "character unlocker" is unsafe and I urge everyone not to download it unless you've made backups first (and even then, editing the .ini's is a preferable option). In fact, I'd give anything that overwrites/messes with the system files a wide berth. The .ini editor is a good app, but it's a good example to use here because in its current version it causes quite a few problems- and .ini's are some of the most low-risk editable system files. |

yeah, i agree totaly.
btw. in americas army we did a lot of ini tweaking, and its same engine. so it should work here to.
try setting the cach to ¼ of your ram memory.. dont know if it helps anyone, but it works great here. its on 32 standard. |
