hi all,
After 2 weeks of coding, 890 (togher 1890) lines of code, severall bug fixing my tool is finally ready to go.
so what is it about the tool?
This tool supports to edit more then 200 ini settings without messing arount with the ut2004.ini or user.ini files.
you can easily edit the options without any knowledge of .ini files.
but also if you have experians with .ini files the tool might be very interresting for you because of its easy interface
and the many options it supports.
changelog since last version:
- fixed announcer bug
- fixed inet und lan speed bug
- fixed advanced mouse settings bug
- fixed voice taunt bug
- fixed crash bugs
- added more then 80 ini settings
- improved interface
- added backup system
- added full descriptions
see readme.txt included in the .zip file for more details.

ps. it says that your dont know what some stuff does, so edit at own risk.
1 i do know: look up stairs. i think thats the one where the cam automaticly goes up when you walk up a hil/stair
edit2:
also, when you save, it saves just fine, but then you pres close, and it ask you to save again.. kinda sucks.. fix it for next patch if you want. |

hmm, i think you got that wrong there, it should be:
uploaded the .zip instead of the .exe file, be sure to use the right link when you post the news tycho:
www.soulix.com/fila/UT2004_ini_Editor-v1.32.zip
zip and exe should be like its here, not other way around.
it was a exe before, now its a zip.
just so theres no confusion |

I'll play with it - quick question tho, how's it work for tweaking server ini's? I use several at my LANs for different game types (using map mixer now so THAT's not an issue, well, kinda).
It's pretty much the same, other than you are setting server attributes rather than player (I've removed all the player specific items as well as sound / video settings, don' t need them for a dedicated server).
I'll dink with it and let you know if you don't, or haven't used in that capacity.
Peace,
Tim |
