Onslaught Bonus Pack Released!

One last post before I take off to work at BWWs for the weekend. The Gamespot ONS Bonus Pack has now been released. It's consists of 2 new ONS maps made by two guys who worked on the retail version of UT2004. ONS-Ascendancy by Nathillien and ONS-Aridoom. Both look great. Go here for the download but beware, it's xp only.

how can a map be XP only?

edit:
FFS i need to instal some damn adware again.. i dont want it! i just want the 2 maps. can someone host a mirror or something? i wanna play em.
will the not XP ones work for me?

the non XP ones are same maps, only not ziped. so you can use those

These are definitely maps that are worth having.
It's a shame that a crappy executable-installer was meant to stop non-XP users from getting these ...

So Microsoft is trying to entice people to use XP? Typical microsoft behavior...

Regardless, what is the point? If these maps are popular won't non-XP users just download them off unreal servers as they join? And if they aren't popular, then who cares?

Btw, these ONS maps were popular before they were even released.
(hence all the fuss)

Not to knock your logic, but i think "enticing" people to use your product is all a part of marketing.
Seen those Linux commercials?
Seen those "Switch" commercials? Shoot, seen any commercials?

yeah, this exclusivity stuff is lame, but just use a different link.

(fyi, these maps can't be pushed to clients on unreal servers.
Maybe Epic will fix in the patch, cause a re-release of the maps could cause mismatch headaches)

official release, not ripped or anything, the dude who made it released it himself.

Maybe I should watch The Hot Chick, so then perhaps I'll be about to tell "hot chicks" apart. Unless they're red headed and sluttily-dressed, they just don't catch my attention...
