A very good morning to everyone. It is 3:13am and I can't believe that it is 73 degrees outside with a wind that is howling at 42 mph. Always some crazy weather here in Michigan. I expect this week to be a good news week with lots of info on upcoming UT2004 Mods and new info on the Unreal Expo. Let's start off this week with an important but controversial question. Whether or not you supported the war is irrelevant. Do you think the US pulling out of Iraq this summer is a good thing or a bad thing. I personally can't stand Bush and can't wait till he loses the election this fall.

Shoud the US stay in Iraq? However regardless of how it started or whether I supported it or, not I think we have to make a long term committment to Iraq and it's people. Leaving now would only create chaos and long term animosity towards America. What do you think?

Man, you weren't kidding about the wind. I kept look west, expecting to see a huge, black front moving in, but just a few clouds. Can't complain about the weather overall though.

As far as Iraq, I think that as bad as SOME of the iraqis dislike the American soldiers stationed over there, they would be in serious trouble if we pull out before their own security forces are trained, and a real government, elected by their own people, can take control.

It's a very difficult situation for the soldiers to be in. They can't do everything that Iraqi police officers can do, and it seems as though every attempt to get water, sewer, oil, electricity, etc. working for them is sabatoged. However, most Iraqis already have more freedom, and supplies and such than when Hussien was in power.

The people who are attacking the soldiers aren't doing it to free Iraq from an agressor, they are doing it to keep chaos and prevent an orderly exchange of power to a government they don't want in power. An elected government would not be compatible with the way they are used to making a living (corruption, violence).

The most difficult thing is building a unified country when there are so many different groups. The whole area is used to fighting among themselves. They may have forgotten how to live peacfeully.
