Could be any number of things, ranging from single player, to multiplayer only with an option like Invasion.
Only time will tell either way. |

The reason I said that was because of the model design.
You have guys with guns mounted on their shoulders, and dudes floating in the air.
I didn't say it would be single player exclusively |

plumb... what about you could pick up some weapon and it would look differently on each player model? I think Quake 4 will have some new stuff... at least I hope so |

That would be nice.
Imagine, for a minute, the balancing issues.
Less splash damage done to the guy that floats.
Weapons fire coming from a different angle, for the guys with guns on thier shoulders.
This type of stuff would take time to get right. Not saying it can't be done, Im just saying it would take more time to balance everything out this way.
That's why I am inclined to believe (and also heard a rumor) that Quake4 would have a big sinlge player aspect to it. I'm not guaranteeing that it will, I'll have to wait and see... but just imagine the balancing issues with drastically different working player models in a MP setting...
Look at how much people in the UT community whine and moan about balancing...
I do hope they can pull it off though, whatever it is.
I'm all for variety. |

If memory serves, Quake3 had an eyeball with legs that ran around with a gun mounted on top. So seeing these type of models working their way into Quake4 isn't to far of a stretch, though granted, they do look very "one weapon" styled. So it's entirely likely that it'll swing either way. However it turns out though, it'll be a beast to see on any machine. |

Yeah, look at the floating, monster. His weapon is actually PART of the model.
I think this can leave teh doors wide open, as to what we are getting from this game. |
