The custom models (Glumph, Karaash and Gothgirl) for the UT2004 CBP2 Vol 1 don't work. Whenever I select them, the game just defaults to the Jakob model. And their 3D models don't show up in the selection window either. The 2D portraits work fine. Any others out there having this problem? Any possible fixes?

Have you tried changing characters offline, either before joining a server, or in an Instant Action game.
It could be the server you're at doesn't have the models installed.
(I'm not quite sure what happens locally when that's the case, if you see the custom character in the menu, but I know it won't work in-game.)

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that.

Actually I am running the dedicated server on a LAN at my work (we play at lunchtime). I have installed the CBP2 on two of my machines here as well as my dedicated server. However, on all of the machines, when I go into the Settings menu from the game launch screen and select the character from the Player submenu, the 3D model doesn't even show in the character view window. I know that playing online can make character selection wonky due to the force model thing, but not even showing the model on a local machine is weird. Does it do that for you?

Actually I'm still downloading... 45% at 45 kB/s, so it's taking its time.
I had to go to bed yesterday and work today, so... I'll try when it's done.
Perhaps someone else has an idea?

Bummer about the bandwidth man. It's a whopper of a file, but well worth it. The ONS alone would be worth it.

I haven't installed any new character models in UT2004 yet due to the fact that most of the old ones don't work with the vehicles. I had a ton for UT2003. Are there any special tricks for installing UT2004 character models? Or is just like in UT2003 where you copy and paste the files into their proper place?

Well how about that? Don't I look like a total dumbass - somehow, I missed that whole pasting the Animations into my animations folder on my systems four times in a row. Thanks for the help replies but I am clearly beyond all hope. Excuse me while I go bury my head in the sand out of pure NOOB shame! ARGGHHH!!

Glad you figured it out already. Smile

By now my download is complete, so I'm going to install the CBP myself.
Well, unzip it... it doesn't seem like there's a UMOD variant, but I'll check the Atari forums first.
