If you've ever tried to record a demo using the in game controls, you know they can sometimes be unwieldy. Fortunately, the guys over at Planet GameCam have released a product known as GameCam (couldn't see that one coming could ya?) that helps make this task a lot easier. Not only is it easier, but it's also got more features than most in-game recorders have, like the following for instance:- Watermarking
- Multiple Formats for Output (wmv and avi currently)
- Real-Time Compression
- Capturing in resolutions other than what you're playing at
It looks like it's shaping up to be a very nice product indeed, and as an added bonus, it's been designed to work with most DirectX 7-9 and OpenGL games! So even if your favorite game doesn't have support for in game recording, you can still do it with this swiss army knife.
Pretty slick, so head on over to Planet GameCam and give it a shot.
NOTE: The site's menu is unusable with Mozilla and Firefox, so I would recommend opening up Internet Explorer for this one |

Ive been using fraps to cap video for a very long time, if this proggy has all the options it says it does i will be extremely happy.
All i'm curious about is whats the max FPS for it? fraps was 30, and another proggy i tried was 50, neither seemed to "live up to its boast"
well i'll test it out and i'll let ya know whats up!!! |
