just works here, what OS you got?
you could reinstal, but maybe wait and see if anyone knows what to do.
edit:
just checked for you, open with>setup.exe
its in the system folder of ut2004. |

I have 3 comps running ut2k4 and one had this problem.
For some reason there was no file association for the "UT4MOD" extention.
You can make one your self by doing the following in windows XP;
1. open my computer (ctrl + e)
2. menu "tools" "folder option"
3. tab "file types"
4. see if the extention UT4MOD is listed
a. if not click new and name it UT4MOD" and click advanced
b. if it is highlight and click "advanced"
5. you should now be in edit file type click "new"
6. ACTION = "&Install this UT2004 module"
7. APPLICATION USED TO PERFORM THIS ACTION = "C:\UT2004\System\Setup.exe install "%1" " where C:\UT2004 is your install directory
8. check "use DDE"
9. click okay
You're done you should now be alble to run UMOD's |

I thought that the ucc.exe unpacks the umods you have to use dos window to see commands ucc /? - or just get the zipped mods . |

Try copying the whole ut2004/system folder into your windows TEMP folder. Yes I know that sounds strange, but that "should" work. I had the same error once and that did it. |

You can also use this little trick... It doesn't fix the file association but it will help you install umods one by one...
1. Move the umod to whatever directory you feel like... (we'll use c:\ut2004 as an example...)
2. Open the "run" window by either clicking on start, then clicking on run, or by holding down the windows key and simultaneously pressing r.
3. Type the following in the run box and press ok...
c:\ut2004\system\setup.exe install c:\ut2004\nameofumodgoeshere.ut4mod
(if your ut2004 directory path is different, then type d:\games\ut2004 or whatever the correct path is... The default c:\ut2004 path is used in this example)
I actually figured this out when I ran into the same problem installing cbp2 at a cybercafe I was volunteering at... |

It seems as though you solved the problem...however this may help sometime in the futurre too
if all else fails...delete the umod and any installed files from it that dont seem to work...restart....go back online donwload the umod and try again and all the packages should unload into the right directories...I know I myself had a few tries with UMODs...then they worked....but I pefer .zip files |
