Another Quiet Wednesday

Well, I just got back from seeing The Chronicles of Riddick and I'm still kind of digesting it. I can say right off the bad that it was a graphically beautiful movie, and I wouldn't be suprised at all to see a couple of wonderful UT2004 maps come out of that. Yes, that's a hint to all you Map Makers out there, make an old gamer happy won't ya?

So my heads all spinning, which makes it kind of fortunate for me that today is a nice quiet day in the realm of gaming. Not much going on with regards to gaming, though this could indeed be a calm before the storm, typically August is a hot month for things in our circle, and June/July are fairly layed back. Why you ask? Well it's got something to do with the whole summer aspect of things, and more free time. Course, I could be wrong, but that's where our awesome little Submit News link comes in handy. Prove us wrong, submit news to our staff and we WILL cover it.

Oh well, enough with the nonsense, on with the news. (Or should it be, "here's some more news" since Dragon Rage was kind enough to give props to the best darn browser under the planet.)

So, how was the movie? I've been thinking about going, since I liked Pitch Black so much, but I' ve heard it's less than great. Normally I don't put much faith in film critics. My favorite movie of all time was Spaceballs, but I digress.

It seriously looks like a high-action film with tons of effects and Riddick is a kick-ass kind of anti-hero. The kind of character who is just good enough to make you hesitate before calling him a Bad Guy.

I'm going out to the movies tomorrow with a friend and there isn't a lot to see this week up here, but we were talking about seeing Day After Tomorrow, mostly to make fun of it. I figure it's been out for a week already, so we may be the only ones in the theater anyway.
