Raven, what you posted is what I did, and I still get the error, it says it can't find the application. UT2004 on our second hard drive (D) but I made the changes to the file path as nessessary, I even used the browse function to check if it was there and it was! |

ok.... last question... is this ver of 2k4 legit???
because everything i just told you should have worked....
i tried it out myself.. (uninstalled it on my laptop and copied it over the network from my desktop back onto my laptop so i have a non-legit copy on my laptop)
granted i had to modify the registry to put the CD-Key back in. but i followed my instructions and it worked....
the only thing i can think of is that you dont have a legit copy, and somehow its not working.
please forgive me for asking if i am wrong... |

I lost the disc and have been running it with a CD Crack, could that be the problem? |

yep thats probably the problem.
TBH you dont need the no-cd crack if you have any of the patches installed.
see if you can borrow a cd from one of your friends, and reinstall... then the patches then see if it works  |

It's gonna take me ages to download the patches, I've got a 56k connection, I'll just wait until PC PowerPlay puts them on their cover disc. |

borrow a friends connection 
bring your own cd to burn it to and there ya go 
either that or your local library might allow you to do stuff like that... mine does atleast |

PC PowerPlay just had patch 3236, I've installed it and the mods still don't work. |
