Anyone else been wondering about that mystery of mysteries, The Phantom Console? Well, Kyle from [H]ardOCP was wondering, and then he showed us all what that little thing was made of... literally. That may be one of the longest link lines I've ever written into a news post, but I think it's worth it to see a Phantom console totally destroyed. A hammer was all it took to reveal this inside the shell:

Ouch. Looks like the Phantom isn't a magical console - just a cheap PC inside a cheap case to hook up to TVs for people who are too cheap to get a real game machine.

Hmmm.. it's just the same as an X-box but only from a different supplier.. I see nothing wrong with it.. the only thing I see wrong with this asswipe who hammered the thing is the personal vendetta he has against infinium labs and is using his 'professional' forums/site for this.. I just think it's childish what he did..
And maybe I just interpret your post incorrect, but I also see some negativity again IL which is just unfounded.. |

But one of the things that bother me is the fact that the editors of both newssites act like the phantom was promised to be anything else, whereas every report IL did/had about their new console did mention that it would be able to play current PC games, and that one of the plusses and main feature would be the download of games.. So if the contents of the Phantom was a suprise then I think the editors/writers hadn't done their job, which also makes me wonder about any other article they did.. |

No offense, but judging all of [H]ardOCP by that article is crap - they are a good site, regardless of a vendetta (which may or may not be deserved) against the Phantom.
Personally, I think what they did kicked ass. |
