I only wanted to say that the reason Tim Sweeney hasn't fired Mark Rein is because he is the quietest guy ever and Mark gives him confidence. It was plainly self-evident at Game Developers Conference that Time Sweeney is relying on Mark completely. |

affcourse he cant fire him,, then mark would brake up with him. and sweeny would never be able to get over him..
but evantualy end up in bed with cliffy.. but since hes a bit of a whore hel dump sweeny after a 1nigt stand, and sweeny will kill himself..

Uhm... I'm not following this.
Tycho asked Mark Rein some questions, and he got those questions answered.
That's a good thing, is it not?
Then for no apparant reason (besides the bad blood from mistakes on both ends in the past, which of course are not apparant here) he starts telling how Mark doesn't care what fans think, and how he should be fired.
Perhaps he didn't get the answers he wanted to hear, but that's the thing with questions.
The questions were answered, so why even state that they were valid questions?
Of course they were, and they got answered, something still relatively unique in the business world from what I know.
It has nothing to do with anything.
The reply to the first question is another question, which isn't the best way to answer, but instead you can regard it as a continuation of a dialogue, and all is well.
The other 2 questions got answered perfectly.
If his original plan was to act like an adult, why the change of heart, and act childish by bashing Mark Rein and actually locking the topic rightaway so people can't reply properly (through the main site)?
It's his site and all, so he can do whatever he wants, but I'm really not following this.
If you want to bash someone, do it for a good reason.
Don't tell the world somebody sucks because they didn't give you what you want.
As for what the questions were about...
Too bad about the forums, though I also think they aren't really necesary, and especially about the site, which in my opinion could use a redesign as well.
Right now it's just... just not... it deserves to be better.
I don't really care about high res screenies, since the new stuff will be here soon enough anyway, and since it's basically only a bonus pack with some new maps, vehicles, and characters, once you show too much in advance there's no surprise left when it's out at all.

I said a GOOD reason!
As in a reason that is actually valid.
