whello, i just got the dutch version of SP2, but it came bothering me with that firewalll again.
i got norton internet security, norton systemworks, norton antivirus. so i think im safe. will the windoews firewall mess me up? or is it best to turn it on?
i also put it on to notify me of updates, but not downlaod and instal em, couse i dont want lag in my games couse of updates...
o DR, if your reading this, my norton IS LEGAL.. i bought it in the store and all.. well internet security and antivirus is.. i mean.. well..

Microsoft released a list of programs that would have conflicts with SP2 firewall. Its automatically turned on...but if you go into the firewall settings you can turn everything off....its pretty easy. But some programs may still be blocked. The new UT2004 patch 3323 works with the SP2 firewall, so dont worry about that. But anyways....heres the list. Hopefully this will help ya cheetah.  |

i turned it off, but it still says its on :S
stupid microsoft... in the one screen it says its on, and on the one where you can select on or off its selected off..  |

theres two menus that you need to turn off. (if i wasnt behind a proxy server, id upload printscreens) but theres a "general" that u need to turn off and then theres an "advance" tab that u need to uncheck your connections. |

I use zone alarm instead. I do love the pop up blocker in SP 2.  |

ya, i heard the pop-up blocker is nice on IE. But im Firefox all the way plus they released PR 1.0 to the public recently. Yay! |
