Furturemark has released their newest 3d benchmark utility. I haven't had a chance to run the tests yet but I am sure some of them will look incredible. Everytime they release a new 3dMark version I start wanting to buy a new video card. The minimum system requirements to run this program are:
Quote: |
# x86 compatible processor with SSE support, 2GHz
# 512MB of RAM
# 1.5GB of free hard disk space
# Windows® 2000/XP with the latest updates & Service Packs
# DirectX®9.0c or later
# DirectX®9.0 compliant graphics adapter that has 128MB of memory and is capable of PixelShader 2.0 or higher
# Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6 |
So if your rig can live up to the tests you can obtain your download from a list of mirrors here. |

is it free? i got 3D mark 03, but it magicly boots my pc at a test. i can run a few of em, but i think it was the one with the airplanes that just shut down my PC in 0.1 seconds, and then booted it back up..
hope this one is better. |

hmm, sure its free? i needed..whell.. i cant say that here, but... i.. i didnent exactly bought it.. but i needed to crack it after that. wasnt free.
so i guess people would say thats the reason the plane test booted my pc.. but i doubt it. i think my PC is just unstable. in the very beginning, when i just had this rig, it had the same thingy more often, nowdays its mostly stable. |

No warez chat, please. If you're going to discuss that, do it through PM or IM. Not on our forums. |

Listen. While I understand both sides of the argument, the rules are simple: no talking of warez, crackz, serialz, or anything else that's blatantly illegal. We are a public web site, and will not have this kind of stuff discussed in the forums. I don't want to be a hard ass about this, but it is my job. Please go back to discussing the benchmark program (which I'm giving a spin later on) and NOT how you cracked it.
Don't make me lock the thread, please. |

Cheetah - you can say warez - just don't talk about them.
That would be protected by the DMCA, the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. While the RIAA is an association of private companies protecting their own self interest, the DMCA is a broader, federal level law that establishes certain guidelines for 'fair use'. RIAA uses the DMCA as a tool for justifying their actions... software piracy is usually dealt with on an 'as needed' basis, i.e., if you pirate WindowsXP, Microsoft will sue you, or if you pirate UT04, Atari / Epic will sue you. There's not a huge software alliance that is comparable to the music industry's.
Hope that answered your questions.
On topic, what's everyone's score? |

I read on some website its going to be like year 2007 before pcs can catch up and really show great benchmarks. Besides...i dont really trust these benchmarks since ATi or Nvidia usually "optimize" there drivers. But they should really optimize there drivers for games.....
Game Rig
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (2.2 Ghz 400 FSB)
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
1024 Mb DDR-400 (2 x 512 Patriot Dual Channel)
ATi Radeon 9800 Pro (128 Mb)
Score
2013
Laptop
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (2 Ghz 800 FSB)
VIA K8T800 Pro
1024 Mb DDR-400 (2 x Corsair 512)
ATi Radeon Mobility 9700 Pro (128 Mb)
Score
1530 |
