I'm sure that 'gold' will be like the SE disaster for UT2k4.
ie : I'd expect those posters to be A4-sized adverts that we'll see plenty of in the magazines once HL2 is near release (for real).
I'm still glad I don't have to pay for HL2 (Bronze) at all (thanks Ati ! ).
The $10 upgrade for DoD and HL1 seems like a waste (why pay for a mod that's free and a game I've already played ?).
And one important question hasn't been answered : will it be available outside the USA (at the same time) ?
If it weren't for the fact that on-line purchases aren't common and neither are the credit cards required for such a thing, but Valve could make a killing with Steam if the European version appeared later on the shelves as is usual with these so called worldwide releases .... |
