Far Cry Patch 1.3

Far Cry patch v1.3 released
Finally the new patch for Crytek´s Far Cry has been released, updating the game to v1.3. The 74mb update fixes several bugs, and also adds Normal Map Compression and SM 3.0 and SM 2.0x support. Save games from previous versions are not compatible with 1.3.
The first dedicated Linux server has also been released.
Patch 1.3 change log
* Fixed a crash with the ForkLift when loading some levels.
* Fixed a bug that prevented levels from loading after saving in a previous level.
* Returned surround 5.1 sound option to the menu.
* Fixed a mounted weapon traverse problem.
* Fixed a delay relating to tagging enemies in binocular mode.
* Improved tangent-space calculation to improve bumpmap quality.
* Anisotropic filtering disabled for some textures (light-maps, several lookup textures, fall-off maps) for increased performance. * Improved syncronization in multiplayer.
* Fixed bug in leaning with different player classes.
* Fixed an invisible wall exploit in mp_freighter. |
Pick it up over here. Ive never played this game (I tried the demo but it wouldn’t run very well) is it any good? |

Farcry is the best single player FPS released, so far, this year. I started over at the challenging difficulty and the AI is very smart. |

dude.. i have magazines that are a month old, that used FC V. 1.3 to test the new PCI express cards.
i think i even played with V. 1.3 a long time back.
was that all a dream? no i dont think so! |

while magazines and game websites get games, patches, ect before the general public. The general public release of FC 1.3 was yesterday.

still not sure.. why where there NO-CD patches etc then?
maybe your right.. but..
wait, im not discussing this, i dont play FC anymore anyway. there is a 1.3 patch now, so if it was there yesterday to, it doesnt mather. its there now for sure |
