HomelanFed has an exclusive interview with Pete Parsons, Bungie's studio manager. They discuss everything from storyline, to complications living up to the previous blockbuster, to new multiplayer features.
Quote:
HomeLAN - Besides multiplayer, how will Halo 2 support Xbox Live (clan support, downloadable extras, etc)?

Pete Parsons - Clan support is shared between the game interface and Bungie.net. You may start a clan in-game, invite friends to join it and create a Clan of up to 100 people. All 100 can play in teams of up to 16 simultaneously, competing in separate ranked matchmade games in the Clan playlist. Clan achievements are tracked separately from individual stats, so effectively you can have two identities online - a Clan and your individual Gamertag persona.

In Halo 2 we have also introduced something that we call our "Party System." Basically, what it means is a group of up to 16 players can simply join a "Party." Once they join, they move from game to game, from match to match as a single cohesive unit. They can play against each other, or organize as a team to play against other parties or individuals. A party leader picks the game type and off you go.

Downloadable content has not been revealed yet, but we tested it in the beta with the (included in the regular game) map "Lockout." So you can certainly expect downloadable maps in the near future.
Sounds like fun! I might actually have to hook my Xbox up to the net and play a little online!

-EDIT-Hmmm anyone know where I can get a pair of these?

HomeLAN - There have been quite a number of Halo related merchandise released, including action figures, a sountrack album, and more. What was the most unusual Halo merchandise item that was proposed to Bungie from a licencee?

Pete Parsons - Not a joke…sequined Halo jeans.
BTW I'm dead serious, u know where I can get some?
